Lion of Glory Core Beliefs

Biblical Beliefs:

Revelation 5:5— “Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome…”

Lion of Glory is founded upon the revelation and supremacy of Jesus Christ—the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Jesus is the center of our message, our discipleship, our ministry, and our mission. We believe lasting transformation does not come merely through principles or programs, but through knowing Jesus Christ and responding to who He is.

Our desire is that everything accomplished through Lion of Glory ultimately points people toward Jesus and brings glory to His name.

1. The Love of God

1 John 4:9–10, 19 • John 3:16–17 • Romans 5:8 • Ephesians 3:17–19

The foundation of our ministry is the love of God revealed through Jesus Christ.

God's love is not something humanity earns through performance. He demonstrated His love by sending His Son so that through Christ we might receive life and be reconciled to Him.

We believe transformation begins when people encounter and receive the love of God.

As His love becomes revelation rather than merely information, fear, shame, rejection, striving, and false identities begin to lose their authority over a person's life.

“We love, because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19

We therefore desire to reveal the love of God to the world through both the proclamation and demonstration of Jesus Christ.

2. Created Value and Identity in Christ

Genesis 1:26–27 • Psalm 139:13–16 • Ephesians 1:3–6 • Ephesians 2:10 • 2 Corinthians 5:17

Human value originates with God.

Every person bears the image of God and therefore possesses a value that cannot be measured by achievement, possessions, position, failure, history, or the opinions of others.

Sin has distorted humanity's relationship with God and our understanding of who we were created to be. Through Jesus Christ we are reconciled to God and brought into new life.

We believe discipleship includes helping people understand their God-given value, their new identity in Christ, and the purpose for which they were created.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…” — Ephesians 2:10

3. The Revelation of Jesus Christ

Matthew 16:15–17 • John 14:6–9 • John 17:3 • Colossians 1:15–20 • Ephesians 1:17–18

Jesus did not simply come to give humanity better principles for living. He came to reveal the Father, reconcile humanity to God, defeat the power of sin and death, and bring us into relationship with Him.

Therefore, our deepest desire in discipleship is not merely that people accumulate biblical information, but that they “know Jesus”.

Paul prayed that believers would receive “a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him” (Ephesians 1:17).

We believe revelation of who Jesus is changes the way people understand God, themselves, others, and the purpose of their lives.

4. A Heart Transformed

Ezekiel 36:26–27 • Romans 12:2 • 2 Corinthians 3:18 • Galatians 2:20

The Gospel produces transformation from the inside out.

God desires more than outward religious conformity. He transforms the heart.

As we behold Christ, the Holy Spirit works within us, conforming us increasingly into the image of Jesus.

“But we all…beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory…” — 2 Corinthians 3:18

5. A Life Laid Down

Luke 9:23–24 • Romans 12:1–2 • John 12:24–26 • Philippians 2:3–8 • Galatians 2:20

The revelation of God's love does not lead us toward self-centered living. It leads us toward surrender.

Jesus demonstrated perfect love through a life poured out for others and ultimately through laying down His life at the cross.

Those who follow Him are likewise called to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him.

“If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” — Luke 9:23

We believe one of the greatest evidences of a heart transformed by Jesus is a life willingly surrendered to Him.

We lay down our lives because we have encountered His love.

6. Disciples Who Make Disciples

Matthew 28:18–20 • Luke 6:40 • John 8:31–32 • 2 Timothy 2:2

Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples.

Therefore, discipleship is not simply one program of Lion of Glory—it is central to how we understand our calling.

A disciple learns to know Jesus, obey His Word, walk by His Spirit, reflect His character, love others, and participate in His mission.

What God deposits into one life is entrusted to that person so that it can be given to others.

7. Carrying the Kingdom Into Every Sphere of Life

Matthew 5:13–16 • Matthew 6:10 • Colossians 3:17, 23–24 • 1 Corinthians 10:31

Following Jesus is not limited to a church gathering.

Christ is Lord over the whole life.

Therefore, discipleship should affect how believers lead families, conduct business, treat employees, handle resources, serve communities, practice their professions, make decisions, and relate to others.

Lion of Glory desires to equip disciples to carry the character and love of Christ wherever God has placed them—including homes, churches, businesses, workplaces, communities, and nations.

8. The Nations and the Advancement of the Gospel

Matthew 24:14 • Matthew 28:19–20 • Acts 1:8 • Romans 10:13–15 • Revelation 7:9–10

God's heart extends to every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.

Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all nations, making disciples and bearing witness to Him.

Therefore, Lion of Glory desires not only to make disciples directly but also to strengthen, encourage, equip, send, and support those whom God has called to carry the Gospel to others.

9. Everything for the Glory of God

Isaiah 43:7 • Matthew 5:16 • 1 Corinthians 10:31 • Colossians 3:17 • Revelation 5:9–13

The ultimate purpose of Lion of Glory is not the growth of an organization or the recognition of a ministry.

It is the glory of God.

We desire to see people encounter His love, discover their value and identity in Christ, know Jesus deeply, experience transformation, surrender their lives to Him, become disciples who make disciples, and carry His Kingdom throughout the earth.

And ultimately, we desire that all of it returns as worship to Jesus Christ.  The Lion of Judah has overcome.  He alone is worthy.  To Him belong the glory, honor, dominion, and praise forever.
